Dr. Lestean M. Johnson has more than 30 years of progressively responsible business experience as a servant leader.

 

Dr. Johnson is an Ordained Evangelist. She is the founder, the Chief Executive Director/Principal of the New Beginnings Academy, an educational facility which served the City of Compton for over 30 years, from 1980 until 2012.

Today, Dr. Johnson manages the Omnipotent Consultant Services, a business consulting company which she founded in 2000. Major focus of the firm is to provide expert assistance to business groups and individuals with the formation process of nonprofit organizations.

 

Dr. Johnson is currently the President and CEO of the Compton Chamber of Commerce. She served the chamber for 20 years.

 

Dr. Johnson served as Chair of Compton Community College District Special Trustee Committee for 4 years, and the Vice President of the Citizens Coalition for Change (formerly Concerned Citizens of Compton) for 4 years. 

 

Among her varied other leadership positions are:

Toastmasters International - Area Governor;

Christian Clergy United Action Team (CCUNAT) - Board Member;

Love of Our Veterans - Vice President & Executive Director;

Compton Optimist Club - Charter Member;

NAACP Compton Branch - 1st Vice President of (four years).

Dr. Johnson holds following degrees:

Doctorate Degree in Education with an emphasis on Literacy;
Master’s Degree in Organizational Management;

Master’s Degree in Legal Studies;

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (emphasis on nonprofits); and

Associate of Art Degree with an emphasis on Business.
