Statement from the Citizens’ Coalition for Community Integrity

The Citizens’ Coalition is outraged and deeply disgusted by the horrific allegations brought against Pastor Quintilo Sagrero. Acts of abuse committed against a child—especially by someone in a position of spiritual authority—represent one of the gravest betrayals imaginable. We stand firmly with the victims and urge anyone with information to come forward so justice can be done.

Sadly, while this case shocks the conscience, it does not surprise us. For years, our community and our nation have been sliding into a moral crisis where human trafficking flourishes, workplace sexual misconduct goes unchecked, street prostitution is normalized, and widespread addiction—to pornography, drugs, and destructive behaviors—weakens our families and our neighborhoods. Fatherless households have become far too common, and many of our youngest members are growing up confused, unprotected, and without the stable guidance they deserve.

It is madness—and it must end.

This case is yet another reminder that we cannot remain silent while the moral fabric of our society unravels. Our Coalition calls for vigilance, accountability, and a renewed commitment to restoring safety, dignity, and strong family structures in Compton and beyond. We urge authorities to pursue this case with full force and encourage community members to protect our children by speaking out, staying aware, and supporting those who bravely come forward.

Our children deserve better. Our community deserves better. And we will not stop demanding better.
