Public Safety Alert for Compton Families

A substitute teacher who worked in both the Compton Unified School District and Lynwood schools has been arrested on allegations related to child sexual abuse material. Authorities say the suspect, a 22-year-old, is believed to have targeted minor females, and investigators are actively seeking additional potential victims.

Law enforcement has released the suspect’s booking photo as part of the investigation and is urging anyone with information — especially families connected to Compton schools — to come forward. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/substitute-teacher-multiple-l-county-153030138.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a serious form of abuse in which an adult or significantly older individual exploits a child for sexual purposes. It can include direct sexual acts, inappropriate exposure, grooming behaviors intended to manipulate or gain access to a child, and sexual exploitation — such as involving a child in the creation of sexually explicit material.

CSA is not limited to any one environment or institution; it can occur across families, schools, organizations, and communities, making awareness and vigilance essential everywhere.
