This 4th of July, as we enter our nation's 250th year, the Citizens’ Coalition for Change rejects media cynicism and stands firm in hope. We believe America is stepping into a Golden Era—led by integrity, driven by gratitude, and fueled by the renewed American Dream. It’s time to rise, not retreat. God bless Compton, and God bless the United States of America.
Citizen’s Coalition encourages everyone to recognize and attend Juneteenth celebrations—honoring the end of slavery and the ongoing fight for justice. Join Compton’s events from June 8–22, including festivals, concerts, and community fairs. Celebrate freedom, unity, and culture. Let’s show up, support local efforts, and keep history alive!
On April 16, 2025, Compton City Council suspended fireworks sales for July 4th, citing safety and environmental concerns. The Citizens' Coalition is neutral regarding this decision, yet acknowledges its potential benefits to public health and safety.
