We congratulate the Compton Chamber of Commerce and its tireless President Dr. Lestean M. Johnson (who is also our organization's dedicated CEO) for reaching the remarkable mile stone of having collected, packaged, curbside distributed and delivered food and hygiene items to over 100,000 residents in our region. This life saving mission critical operation would not have been a success without Dr. Johnson's selfless leadership and unwavering dedication.
Concerned Citizens of Compton is in full support of this program as one of the main sponsors.
We would also like to express our gratitude to all Compton United Response Effort (CURE) participant organizations, to all Compton based non-profit organizations, churches and community groups which contributed to the program, to all private parties who provided financial assistance, to program's wonderful volunteers, to food donors, to sponsors of transportation vehicles, and to Mayor Aja Brown and City Manager Craig J. Cornwell for providing space, and countless others who made this monumental operation a huge success.
Concerned Citizens of Compton will continue to work with the Compton United Response Effort (CURE) and our strategic partner Compton Chamber, the City officials and our community partners to ensure that everyone in our community has access to food.
