New Permanent Location for the Chamber Managed Food Pantry

We congratulate the Compton Chamber of Commerce for having served 100,000 residents in our region, collecting, packaging, curbside distributing and delivering food and hygiene items. We would like to extend our gratitude to our President Dr. Lestean M. Johnson for tirelessly managing the entire program. This program would not have been a success without her selfless leadership and unwavering dedication. Also, volunteers are the backbone to all food pantries. Without the hands-on support of countless volunteers, this program could not have completed such a monumental task.

As the pandemic continues into 2021, Mayor Aja Brown has committed to a new permanent location for the Compton Food Pantry managed by the Chamber. The Mayor has announced her commitment with a post on Instagram last week. We congratulate the Mayor for this timely decision.

As of February 1, 2021, the pantry operation will go on at its new "permanent" site at the Lueders Park Community Center located at 1500 East Rosecrans Ave. in Compton. Hours of operation at the new site will be Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

An official press release will be published soon.
